Address

Ostfriedhof München
Sankt-Martins-Platz 181541 MünchenGermany

For the western grounds, Ostfriedhof stop on Tegernseer Landstraße may be more convenient. The eastern part of the cemetery borders Sankt-Martin-Straße.

Tram, bus and S-Bahn

  • Ostfriedhof: tram and bus stop on Tegernseer Landstraße near the western cemetery boundary.
  • Sankt-Martins-Platz: tram stop immediately outside the historic entrance area; the mapped stop position is recorded as wheelchair accessible.
  • Sankt-Martin-Straße: S-Bahn station at the eastern boundary; its mapped platform is served by S3 and S7 and recorded as wheelchair accessible.

Routes, frequencies, engineering work and lift availability may change. Check the current journey immediately before travelling.

Access points

The main entrance on Sankt-Martins-Platz serves the administration, funeral hall and forum. A second important access point lies at the western main avenue on Tegernseer Landstraße. The official plan also marks further entrances around the long site.

The interactive map shows ten gate positions without a mapped access restriction. They are numbered neutrally because reliable official names are not available for every gate. Four explicitly private gates and several building-only entrances are not shown as visitor access points. Compare their positions on the cemetery map.

Parking

Two surface parking spaces for disabled visitors are mapped on Tegernseer Landstraße. They are recorded as publicly accessible, paid and wheelchair accessible. Current availability is not stated.

Other parking strips in neighbouring streets are public road space and are not automatically reserved for cemetery visitors. Customer and private parking areas are deliberately omitted from the cemetery map.
