Many notable people are buried at Ostfriedhof. This page deliberately presents a small curated selection: Andreas Brehme, Hans Döllgast and Bernhard von Gudden. All three have a specific grave reference and a real, freely reusable photograph of the grave.

The cards give the burial section, row and grave number, or the position along the cemetery wall. Only Bernhard von Gudden’s family grave has a precise, named position and therefore appears on the graves map.
Andreas Brehme and Hans Döllgast have specific grave references but no reliable geographic coordinates. Their positions were not estimated from the schematic PDF. Save the official cemetery map and use the section, row and grave number on site.
Hans Döllgast and the cemetery itself
Hans Döllgast is not only buried here. As an architect, he led the simplified reconstruction of the badly damaged funeral hall in 1951–52. His grave therefore connects a biography directly with the architectural history of this place.
This selection is not a complete register. For someone not included here, the grave search page explains what information is needed and when it is useful to contact the cemetery administration.
